VCode Technology

VCode: the patented verification technology invented by Louis-James Davis.

VCode was invented by Louis-James Davis (LJ Davis), founder of Confrmo, to solve the gap between scanning something and knowing it is genuine. Unlike a QR code, every VCode is cryptographically bound to a live signed record — identity, certificate or ownership — and resolves in seconds to verified data that cannot be spoofed by copying the pattern. Confrmo uses VCode as its core interface: scan a VCode to sign in, to verify an asset, to initiate a transfer, or to unlock a live document view.

Common questions

What teams ask first.

Who invented VCode?
VCode was invented by Louis-James Davis (LJ Davis), the founder and CTO of Confrmo. The technology is patented and held by V.V.V Holdings.
Is VCode the same as a QR code?
No. A QR code stores plain text that anyone can copy. VCode is a cryptographic reference that resolves to a live signed record — copying the pattern does not grant access to the record behind it.
Where is VCode used?
VCode is used across the Confrmo platform: as the authentication interface for identity verification, as the verification point for asset certificates on the Confrmo Ledger, and as the session interface for ownership transfer confirmations and document viewing.
Can a VCode be faked?
No. The pattern alone has no value — it is a signed reference, not data. Resolving it requires a live query to the Confrmo network, and the network validates the cryptographic signature. Printing a copy of a VCode returns the same signed record as the original; it does not grant ownership or authentication rights.
