Confrmo and the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Goal 16 asks for legal identity for everyone by 2030. Governments issue identity. Confrmo works on what comes next: letting a person use that identity, and prove it is theirs, wherever they need to online.

UN Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions

Goal 16, target 16.9: legal identity for all

Target 16.9 is to provide legal identity for all, including birth registration, by 2030. An identity document only helps a person if they can use it, and online that usually means handing copies of it to every service that asks.

With Confrmo a person proves once that they are the holder of their own passport or identity card, with a read of the document's chip, a face match and a liveness check. After that they can prove it again at a login, a payment or an approval, without sending their documents anywhere.

  • It checks the person, not the phone. A VCode scan, facial recognition and liveness at the moment of the action, so a stolen phone or a shared password is not enough.
  • The business gets a decision, not a face. The website receives an answer and a signed proof. No face image or biometric template reaches it.
  • Checking is free. Anyone can verify a Confrmo record without an account and without paying.

How the data is handled is set out under security and compliance and in our Trust Centre.

UN Global Compact

Confrmo Ltd applied to join the UN Global Compact on 2 October 2026 and the application is under review. The Compact asks its participants to support ten principles on human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption, and to report on their progress every year.

Once accepted, Confrmo will appear in the Compact's public list of participants, which anyone can search on the UN Global Compact website. We will report our progress here.
