Confrmo, the UK identity company that checks the person rather than the phone, will exhibit at Web Summit in Lisbon from 9 to 12 November 2026.
Confrmo will have a stand in the startup exhibition on one day of the event, which Web Summit will confirm by the end of October. The team will be in Lisbon for all four days and is taking meetings with banks, platforms, payment providers and public sector buyers who need to know that a real, specific person is behind a sign-up, a login or an approval.
Why it matters. Most checks today confirm a device: a code sent to a phone, an app that is already signed in, a face compared with a photo taken at sign-up. Confrmo confirms the person, at the moment it matters, with a VCode scan, facial recognition and liveness. The same assurance is available at account opening, at login and at a payment or approval.
Businesses connect through a REST API, the Website Integration Kit, a WordPress plugin and webhooks, all documented on the Developer Platform. The technology is protected by 35 UK patent applications.
At the stand. Visitors will see the platform working end to end on a live phone: the verification, the approval and the signed record a business receives afterwards.
Meet Confrmo in Lisbon. Meetings can be booked now by writing to hello@confrmo.com. The exhibition day will be announced on confrmo.com as soon as it is confirmed.
